Rated capacity is for 4.5 in. to 6.5 in. (114 mm to 165 mm) using rotary or down-the-hole hammer drilling for depths up to 78 ft. (23.8 m).

STANDARD MOUNTING:

Standard mounting for the C-450-DII is a heavy-duty, CAT^® Series 312 Plus 17.7 in. (450 mm) wide Triple Grouser Type with 3 point oscillating suspension and a two speed hydraulically driven tram.

PULLDOWN SYSTEM:

Up to 29,000 lb. (13,154 kg) bit loading capacity with a maximum rated pulldown of 24,000 lb. (10,886 kg), 13,250 lb. (6,011 kg) hoist capacity.  Maximum hoist rate 332 fpm (104 m/pm).  Maximum feed rate 184 fpm (57.5 m/pm). Chains: Single heavy duty roller chains 2 in. (51 mm) pitch.  Stroke: 23 ft. (7 m) for 20 ft. (6.1 m) drill pipe.    10 in. ( 254 mm) table opening.

ROTARY HEAD:

0 to 141 rpm at 60,055 lbs-in (6,786 Nm) torque. (Based on 100% efficiency).  Equipped with nylon guide shoes.

AIR COMPRESSOR:

750 CFM (21.3 m³/min) @ 125 PSI (8.6 Bar) with an Air Pressure Regulator is standard. Synthetic PAO, ISO 32 compressor oil is provided.  Optional—900 CFM (25.5 m³/min) @ 350 PSI (24.1 Bar) with 475 HP (354 kW) Caterpillar C13 ACERT diesel engine.

POWER UNIT:

Caterpillar C13 ACERT diesel engine, rated 440 HP (328 kW) @ 1800 rpm with 250 gallon (946 L) fuel capacity.

MAST:

Heavy duty 10 in. (254 mm) wide flange steel beam mast, total length 33.5 ft. (10.2 m), raised and lowered by one 5.5 in. (140 mm) diameter hydraulic cylinder equipped with safety counterbalance valves. Hydraulic powered mast lock pins are provided  as standard equipment.

LEVELING JACKS:

The C-450-DII utilizes three (3) leveling jacks, all 36 in. (914 mm) stroke, with built-in safety checks.  All jacks are 5 in. (127 mm) diameter bore.

DRILL PIPE HANDLING:

The standard C-450-DII is equipped with a 3 + 1 hydraulic indexing barrel loader to handle 20 ft. (6.1 m) drill pipe, 3.5 in. (89 mm) to 4.5 in. (114 mm) diameter. Hydraulic breakout and power tong system are standard.  Also included is a 2,200 lb.  (998 kg) fixed-over-hole winch for pipe handling.

AIR FILTERS:

Individual heavy duty two stage dry type filters with a pre-cleaner for engine and compressor.

NIGHT LIGHTING:        

OPERATOR’S CAB:

Isolated operator’s cab and control station, air conditioning, sound abatement, and cab pressurization are provided as standard.

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS:

-50 hour Maintenance Kit-includes hydraulic, compressor, and case drain filters.
